Konnectora Terms of Use

Konnectora provides technology that enables organisations and event organisers to manage and engage with participants in connection with conferences, meetings, community gatherings and other events.

Depending on the features enabled for a particular event, Konnectora may provide functionality including:

• event registration;
• family and group registration;
• registration approval and administration;
• event information;
• agendas and speaker information;
• accommodation information and selections;
• sponsorship and registration packages;
• payment-status administration;
• event communications and notifications;
• attendee engagement;
• polls and other interactive features;
• event photographs and galleries;
• event administration; and
• related event services.

Features available through Konnectora may vary between events.

Konnectora provides the technology platform used to facilitate these services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the event itself is organised and managed by the relevant event organiser.

Konnectora may allow users who are 14 years of age or older to create an account and access features of the Konnectora Platform that are made available to them.

Certain Konnectora features require you to create an account. When creating or using an account, you agree to:

• provide accurate and current information;
• maintain the accuracy of your account information;
• keep your login credentials secure;
• not share your account credentials with unauthorised persons; and
• notify us if you become aware of unauthorised access to or use of your account.

You are responsible for activities performed through your account where those activities result from your actions or your failure to take reasonable steps to protect your account credentials.

You must not impersonate another person, create an account using false information or use another person's account without appropriate authority.

Events available through Konnectora may be organised and administered by organisations or individuals separate from MPowered Technologies.

Authorised event organisers may use Konnectora to:

• create and manage event information;
• configure registration requirements;
• manage participants;
• review and approve registrations;
• define registration and sponsorship packages;
• provide payment instructions;
• manage accommodation information;
• communicate with participants;
• publish event content; and
• perform other event administration functions.

Konnectora Super Administrators may assign authorised registered users as Event Master Administrators for particular events. An Event Master Administrator may be given administrative access to manage the event on behalf of the relevant event organiser.

Depending on the permissions provided, an Event Master Administrator may be able to:

• configure event information;
• manage registrations;
• access participant information;
• approve or reject registrations;
• manage registration questions and options;
• configure packages and event content;
• review payment information or payment evidence;
• send event communications;
• manage accommodation information; and
• perform other administrative functions relating to the event.

Event organisers are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and currency of event-specific information they publish or provide through Konnectora, including dates, venues, prices, packages, and schedules.

Konnectora provides the Platform through which this information may be presented but does not independently verify all information supplied by event organisers. If you have questions about event-specific information, you should contact the relevant event organiser.

Individual events may have their own terms, registration conditions, cancellation policies, refund policies, codes of conduct or other requirements.

When registering for an event, you may be required to separately accept those event-specific terms. Event-specific terms form an agreement relating to your participation in that event and are separate from these Konnectora Terms of Service.

For example, participation in IBCN 2027 is subject to the applicable IBCN 2027 Registration – Terms & Conditions.

Submitting an event registration through Konnectora does not necessarily mean that the registration has been accepted or confirmed.

Registrations may be subject to:

• organiser approval;
• availability;
• eligibility requirements;
• payment;
• package availability;
• accommodation availability; or
• other requirements established by the relevant event organiser.

The status displayed through Konnectora reflects information recorded or confirmed through the Platform. Final decisions concerning event registration are the responsibility of the relevant event organiser unless expressly stated otherwise.

Konnectora may enable event organisers to provide payment instructions to participants and record the payment status of registrations.

Participants may be able to upload evidence of payment through Konnectora. Uploading payment evidence does not itself mean that payment has been received or verified. Payment confirmation is determined by the relevant event organiser.

Any questions or disputes concerning registration fees, payment amounts, refunds, sponsorship payments, or accommodation charges should be raised with the relevant event organiser.

The relevant event organiser is responsible for resolving disputes concerning the organisation or delivery of its event, including cancellation, refunds, accommodation, and schedule alterations.

Participants should first contact the relevant event organiser regarding these matters. Konnectora may provide reasonable technical or platform assistance where appropriate, but this does not make Konnectora responsible for resolving an event-specific dispute between a participant and an event organiser.

Konnectora may allow users and event organisers to upload, submit, publish or share content (photographs, documents, comments, responses, and announcements).

You retain ownership of content that you own and upload to Konnectora. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload or publish that content.

You must not upload, publish or distribute content through Konnectora that:

• is unlawful;
• is fraudulent or deliberately misleading;
• is threatening, abusive or harassing;
• seriously infringes another person's privacy;
• infringes copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property rights;
• contains malicious software or harmful code;
• promotes unlawful activities; or
• is otherwise seriously inappropriate for the relevant event or Platform.

By uploading content to Konnectora, you grant MPowered Technologies a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process and display that content only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate Konnectora and deliver Platform features.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to MPowered Technologies. The licence ends when the content is deleted from Konnectora, subject to reasonable technical backup periods and statutory retention requirements.

The Konnectora Platform, including its software, source and object code, architecture, interface, design, branding, logos, and graphics is owned by or licensed to MPowered Technologies Pty Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as permitted by law or expressly authorised by us, you must not:

• copy or reproduce the Platform;
• modify or create derivative versions of the Platform;
• distribute or commercially exploit Konnectora software;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to Konnectora systems; or
• remove proprietary notices from the Platform.

You must use Konnectora lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

• use the Platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;
• attempt to access accounts, events or information without authorisation;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Platform;
• introduce malware, malicious code or other harmful technology;
• attempt to bypass security or access controls;
• misuse participant personal information;
• use automated systems to extract information from Konnectora without permission;
• deliberately overload or disrupt the Platform; or
• use Konnectora in a way that materially harms other users, event organisers or MPowered Technologies.

We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to Konnectora where reasonably necessary because of serious breaches of these Terms, fraudulent activity, unlawful use, significant security concerns, or conduct that materially threatens Konnectora or its participants.

Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue before terminating access. Immediate action may be taken where reasonably necessary to address serious security, legal, safety or fraud risks.

MPowered Technologies may suspend, restrict or remove an event or an event organiser's administrative access where we reasonably believe the Platform is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, to materially mislead participants, or in material breach of these Terms.

Konnectora may provide links or integrations relating to third-party services such as hotels, venues, maps, transport providers, or external websites.

Third-party services operate independently from Konnectora and may have their own terms, privacy policies and practices. Unless expressly stated otherwise, MPowered Technologies does not control or operate these third-party services.

Personal information collected and handled through Konnectora is managed in accordance with the Konnectora Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy requirements.

We aim to provide a reliable and secure Platform. However, we cannot guarantee that Konnectora will always be uninterrupted, error-free or continuously available. Access may occasionally be affected by maintenance, software updates, infrastructure changes, telecommunication disruptions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Konnectora may evolve over time. We may add, modify or discontinue Platform features where reasonably necessary for operational, technical, security, legal or product reasons. Where a material change is likely to significantly affect existing users, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice where practicable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MPowered Technologies is not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from matters controlled by an independent event organiser or third-party service provider, including event-specific decisions, information or services that Konnectora does not provide or control.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, your rights and our obligations will be determined in accordance with applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law where relevant.

You may request deletion of your Konnectora account through an available account-deletion function or by contacting support@konnectora.com.

Certain information may need to be retained after account deletion where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, maintain event records, or resolve disputes.

We may update these Terms from time to time where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to functionality, legal requirements, security requirements, or business practices. The latest version will display the date on which it was last updated.

Your continued use of Konnectora after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

These Terms, together with the Konnectora Privacy Policy and any other Konnectora policies expressly incorporated into them, govern your use of the Konnectora Platform. Event-specific terms and conditions separately govern your participation in individual events.
