Konnectora Privacy Policy

The information we collect depends on how you use Konnectora and the requirements of the event for which you register.

We primarily collect personal information directly from you when you:

• create an account;
• register for an event;
• register family members or other participants;
• update your profile;
• select accommodation, packages or event options;
• upload payment evidence, photographs or other content;
• communicate with an event organiser through Konnectora; or
• contact Konnectora for support.

We may also receive personal information about you when another person is authorised to register you as part of a family or group registration.

We may use your personal information to:

• create and manage your Konnectora account;
• register you for events;
• process and administer family or group registrations;
• provide event information and services;
• manage accommodation and other event selections;
• allow authorised event organisers to review and administer registrations;
• record registration and payment status;
• provide event communications and notifications;
• provide customer and technical support;
• operate, maintain and improve the Konnectora Platform;
• protect the security and integrity of the Platform; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use the personal information collected through Konnectora to send unrelated promotional or advertising communications.

Konnectora is an event-management platform that may be used by organisations to manage their events.

When you register for a particular event, information relating to your registration may be made available to the authorised organisers and administrators of that event.

Event organisers may use this information to:

• manage registrations;
• communicate with attendees;
• arrange accommodation or other event services;
• administer registration packages or sponsorships;
• verify payment status;
• manage attendance; and
• operate and administer the event.

An event organiser may have its own privacy obligations and privacy policy. Konnectora does not provide your registration information to organisers of unrelated events merely because they use the Konnectora Platform.

We use third-party technology and service providers to operate Konnectora. These providers may supply services such as:

• cloud hosting;
• database and file storage;
• authentication;
• email delivery;
• application hosting;
• push notifications; and
• other technical infrastructure.

We provide or make personal information available to service providers only to the extent reasonably required for them to provide services supporting Konnectora.

We select service providers having regard to appropriate technical, organisational and security measures for protecting the information they process.

Konnectora uses cloud-based infrastructure and service providers to operate the Platform.

As Konnectora grows, we may use additional or alternative cloud infrastructure and service providers located in Australia or other countries to support availability, performance, security, scalability and the operation of the Platform.

Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we will take reasonable steps as required under applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We select service providers having regard to appropriate technical, organisational and security measures for protecting the information they process. We may update this Privacy Policy where there are material changes to the countries in which Konnectora personal information is stored or processed.

Konnectora may process information about children where a parent, guardian or other appropriately authorised adult includes a child in a family or event registration.

We do not require children to independently provide personal information where the relevant registration is intended to be completed by a parent, guardian or authorised adult.

We ask parents and guardians not to provide more information about a child than is reasonably necessary for participation in the relevant event.

Konnectora may send communications necessary to provide the Platform and administer events, including:

• account-related communications;
• registration confirmations;
• registration approval or status updates;
• payment-related notifications;
• event announcements;
• changes to event information;
• accommodation information;
• reminders;
• support communications; and
• other operational event notifications.

We do not currently use Konnectora account information to send unrelated promotional or marketing communications. Users may be able to manage certain notification preferences through their device or application settings. Some essential account, registration or service-related communications may still be required for the operation of the service.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information held through Konnectora against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

We use appropriate technical and organisational security measures having regard to the nature of the information handled by the Platform.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for:

• providing Konnectora services;
• administering the relevant event;
• maintaining appropriate business and transaction records;
• resolving disputes or support requests;
• security and fraud prevention; and
• meeting applicable legal obligations.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted or de-identified where appropriate and subject to applicable legal requirements.

You may access or update certain personal information directly through your Konnectora account where that functionality is available.

You may also ask us to provide access to, or correct, personal information that we hold about you. Requests may be sent to:

You may request deletion of your Konnectora account and associated personal information by using an available account-deletion function or by contacting support@konnectora.com.

We will process deletion requests within a reasonable period.

Some information may need to be retained where reasonably necessary to:

• comply with applicable legal obligations;
• maintain required transaction or event records;
• resolve disputes;
• prevent fraud or misuse; or
• maintain the security and integrity of the Konnectora Platform.

Where information cannot immediately be deleted for one of these reasons, we will limit its continued use as appropriate.

We may use or disclose personal information where required or authorised by Australian law, a court or tribunal order, or where otherwise permitted under applicable privacy law.

We may also take appropriate action where reasonably necessary to protect the security of Konnectora, our users, event organisers or other persons.

Konnectora may contain links to websites or services operated by event organisers or other third parties, such as accommodation providers, venues or external payment services.

Those services operate independently of Konnectora and may have their own privacy policies and information-handling practices.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of a third-party service before providing personal information directly to that service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to:

• Konnectora's functionality;
• our technology and infrastructure;
• our information-handling practices;
• the countries in which information may be stored or processed; or
• applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be made available through the Konnectora Platform with an updated “Last updated” date. Where appropriate, material changes may also be communicated through the Platform.
